It is very easy to turn off the Canon Ink Cartridges if you only want to use the black color for your documents and photos. You can save your expensive color ink for other printing jobs that are necessary to do with the colored ink. Every printer has its own unique settings and you can change them according to your needs. If you want to change the settings of your printer then these settings are accessible to you. If you don’t want to indulge yourself in the complicated settings, then the best way to change the setting is to convert it into Grayscale. The Grayscale mode will only print the pictures and documents in the black color and it will block all the other colors until you want to use them again after changing the mode to the normal.

This will work on the canon printer but it will not work on the printers that have a different setting and if the colored-ink is less in the printer it will not work on it. If you want to change the setting of your printer to black then you have to go to the start button of windows, and then click on the device and printers option. You have to right click on your printer to select the properties of the printer from the menu. Then choose the advanced tab and choose the “printer preferences”, and then click on the color tab and change it into grayscale. In the end, just click the Ok button to save your settings. Your changes will apply to the black color.

You can change the setting at any time to use the color ink for your documents and photos. You can also change the color into one color. There are different modes available with all the printers that give you the freedom to choose any color of your choice. If you want to use the color ink for your printer, then you are free to use it. You can also set the changes for your documents and photos into black and white.  There is an option of reset to change the setting into the normal mode. Every printer has different options to change the setting of modes into different colors you can choose them according to your needs.
